REGISTER DOG TEAM
The SIN manages the list of citizen rescue dog (BRT) teams that meet the conditions to participate in searches for missing persons.
In order to register as a BRT, the following conditions apply:

In possession of a valid certificate which is not older than 2.5 years (30 months) SIN area search, IPO-R area B, IRO area B, IRO MRT area or KNPV B area;

Valid VOG (statement of conduct);

Compliance with the obligations as described in the 'Citizen of Rescue Dog Handler (BRT) Statement' and the 'Confidentiality Declaration'

Participation in at least 1 joint training day of the police and SIN per year;

In possession of a valid liability insurance.
For a complete registration, follow the steps below:
1. The below 2 agreements download (click on the buttons), read and complete, sign (digitally) and scan again.
2. Prepare these four attachments to send together with the form below.

Citizen's statement from rescue dog handler regarding participation in police-coordinated deployments in cases of missing persons

Non-disclosure agreement

Statement of Good Conduct (VOG)

Passport photo of the doghandler

Copy of the certificate / workbook with the obtained dog qualification
3. Complete and send Citizen-Rescue Dog Team (BRT) registration form:
4.Complete the digital Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG) application
You will receive a link from the secretariat to digitally request a Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG).
This is already pre-filled. You can sign this digitally and pay for the application (€ 33.85).
Once you have received the Certificate of Good Conduct, you can send it to secretaris@reddingshonden-sin.nl
Your complete registration will then be confirmed by the secretariat.
