Goal
The Netherlands Rescue Dog Deployment Foundation (SIN) was founded in 1992 at the request of the Ministry of the Interior, as an umbrella organization for the use of rescue dogs in the Netherlands. The SIN acts as the link between citizen rescue dog teams and the government. The Ministry has created a national contact point for the use of dogs in disasters, missing persons and emergencies.
The foundation also has the task of guaranteeing that the dog teams deployed by the associated organizations meet the set quality requirements. Police services, fire brigades and private individuals can call on specialized teams when people go missing at home and abroad. Remuneration Policy The members of the board receive no compensation for their work. Volunteers do not receive any volunteer compensation. There are no employees.
